Yeowoorak Festival – “Here is our music”
Yeowoorak Festival (hereafter ‘Yeowoorak’) is the music festival in which the musicians and the artists from various fields who have made new attempts and taken on the bold experiments based on our traditional music have participated.
Yeowoorak, which means ‘Here is our music’, is Korea’s representative national music festival and has been heating up the summer every year since 2010. So far, about 76,000 audiences have made the visit to Yeowoorak and enjoyed the creativity of our music constantly evolving over the years.
Yeowoorak is not only a music festival dedicated to our traditional music and making it more reachable for the public, but also a site for the artists to collaborate with other music genres, ponder over their identities in our music, and furthermore share the new imagination and inspiration.
New yearly theme and the lineup will be announced every July.
